On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the city of Berlin, the Architects and Engineers Association of Berlin-Brandenburg opened the exhibition “Unfinished Metropolis: 100 Years of Urban Development for Greater Berlin” on 30.09.2020. The exhibit shows exemplary places, projects and plans which have shaped and changed the metropolis in the last hundred years.
At the same time, the show glimps into the future and highlights the potential of the Berlin-Brandenburg metropole region. The results of the International Urban Design Ideas Competition Berlin-Brandenburg 2070, initiated by the AIV, will be presented to the public for the first time. The design by Christoph Kohl Stadtplaner Architekten and FUGMANN JANOTTA PARTNER will also be on display as one of the 18 entries of the second phase as part of the anniversary show.
From 1 October 2020 – 3 January 2021, you have the opportunity to view the exhibition daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Kronprinzenpalais, Unter den Linden 3, 10117 Berlin. Admission is free, but you are obliged to book an appointment in advance.
