„WELCOME. A region forms its network.”
With this motto, the office and surrounding municipalities of Gransee start into the first phase of the competition. The application, designed by FJP, convinced the jury – 51 out of 168 applicants were chosen, one of them being Gransee. After 12 months of intensive work with the residents in order to come up with a vision for Gransee 2030+, the goal now is to reach the next round of the competition. Sitting between the metropolitan area of Berlin and the surrounding rural areas Gransee is predestined as a model, especially for other municipalities with accessibility to rural areas and similar other problems. In the center are questions about the development of the population – in the backdrop of migration – about participation, the regional supply as well as mobility.
