Our project team followed DIEAG‘s invitation and descended into the building pit at Landgrafenstraße 3-4 in Berlin’s City West on 31 May 2024. Together with all project partners, the laying of the cornerstone for the new EQUALIZER office building was celebrated in the finest construction site weather.
The ceremony symbolically marked the start of high-rise construction work on the approximately 4,460 square metre construction site. According to plans by kadawittfeldarchitektur, a high-rise office building with staggered heights and a striking façade made of red, recycled aluminium pilaster strips is being built there. The 14-storey office building, with more than 13,000 square metres of rental space, also includes a green underground car park. Furthermore, loggias, roof terraces and a courtyard garden offer a high quality of outdoor living. The extensively greened roof areas with photovoltaic systems also make an ecological contribution to this sustainable construction project. The “DGNB Gold” certified EQUALIZER Berlin is scheduled for completion in early 2026.
