Exhibition: Workshop procedure „Berlin – Spreeküste“

Ausstellung Spreeküste

On 27 March 2023, the exhibition of the results of the urban planning workshop procedure “Berlin – Spreeküste” opened in the Stadtbad Lichtenberg. The investor Archigon, the two district offices involved and the Senate Department for Urban Development, Building and Housing invite all interested parties to view the seven contributions to the workshop procedure. In addition to the various results of the workshop procedure, the exhibition venue itself is an architectonic highlight.

The expressionist swimming pool, which opened in 1928, was completely closed in the early 1990s and, after decades of decay, was partially restored three years ago. The former so-called women’s swimming hall – with a parquet floor above the pool – has been used as a cultural and event venue since 2022. There the plans and models of the seven teams can be viewed until 5 April 2023. This also includes our joint work with Bernd Albers Architekten. At the same time, the public can comment on the two winning designs at German website mein.berlin.de. The opportunity to do so remains until 27 April 2023. These suggestions will be taken into account in the upcoming development of a master plan by the two 1st prize winners.

The exhibition “Berlin – Spreeküste” at Stadtbad Lichtenberg (Hubertusstraße 47, 10365 Berlin) is open Monday to Friday from 2 to 6 pm and on weekends from 10 am to 2 pm. It’s certainly worth a visit!
