The second event in the public workshop series for the development of a masterplan for the Südpark – Warnberger Riedel Parkmeile (park mile) in Munich took place on 22 May 2023. This was a two-hour tour of the project area. Five stations were visited, which were exemplary for the entire area. There, FUGMANN JANOTTA PARTNER showed the participants initial conceptual approaches and discussed backgrounds, suggestions for improvement and further ideas with them. The focus was on four topics: path connections, people & recreation, productive landscape and nature.
For the final discussion, the participants were guests at the “Nature Paradise” of the Landesbund für Vogel- und Naturschutz (LBV). In addition, two members of the association briefly introduced the LBV. Afterwards, there was a guided tour through the biotopes of the “Nature Paradise”, which lives up to its name.
The walk was moderated and accompanied by staff from the Department of Urban Planning and Building Regulations of the City of Munich and the FJP team. The results of the day are now being incorporated into the concept development for the Parkmeile by FJP and will be presented at a final event in autumn.
