On May 23, 2025, the topping-out ceremony for the second construction phase of the “MAISON WESTEND” project in Reichsstraße, Berlin-Westend was celebrated. Together with the developer, the planning team, the construction company, and numerous trades, the current progress of the build was acknowledged.
The project is being developed on a previously built-up site at the corner of Spandauer Damm and Reichsstraße. The new construction makes use of so-called recycled concrete – a building material obtained from the demolition of two high-rise buildings and reprocessed on-site. This reuse reduces the consumption of new materials and significantly lowers CO₂ emissions.
In parallel with the above-ground construction, new outdoor facilities are being created in the courtyard. As landscape architects, we are responsible for the planning and implementation of the exterior areas. The design takes into account both functional requirements and ecological aspects – including climate-adapted planting and permeable surfaces.
We are pleased to also be entrusted with the landscape design for the third and final phase of construction on Reichsstraße.
