Our landscape planning team dropped by in the Hanseatic city of Lübeck – and not just to escape the late summer heat in Berlin. The programme included a coordination meeting with the Hanseatic city’s ‘Environment, Nature and Consumer Protection’ department. The aim was to concretise the location of measures for the thematic Municipal Landscape Plan ‘Adaptation to climate change’.
The TLP focuses on the area-related requirements for adapting to climate change in Lübeck. The focus is on extreme precipitation events, changing temperatures, Baltic Sea flooding and storms. The aim is to achieve sustainable and climate-adapted utilisation and development of nature and the landscape by 2040 by means of binding measures.
