At the 5th KANN Dialogue at the Café Moscow in Berlin, Harald Fugmann presented the consequences and new challenges of open space planning in the face of densifying cities. Using the example of current urban development concepts (Framework planning Berlin Heinersdorf, GoWest – former Reemtsma site in Berlin-Schmargendorf, and the Gropiusstadt in Berlin-Neukölln), he illustrates the specific requirements for green infrastructure and its implementation in cities at the intersection of economy, adaptation to climate change and social issues.
