The demolition of the former sewage treatment works is advancing. Most of the buildings and many of the clarifying basins have already been demolished. The exciting disassembly of the six sludge digestion tanks still awaits. The ecological construction support has had enough to do: birds returning to breed in the basins and green frogs have been relocated. Little green toads have been able to develop in a large puddle protected from construction vehicles. Tunnels for small animals have been constructed, the high-performance filtration system for sedimentation is complete as far as the reeds, and a pond has been created within the planned green corridor.
