At the end of 2016, the former school pond in the area of the outdoor lab in Berlin-Zehlendorf was thoroughly desilted as part of landscape conservation measures. After the redevelopment, nature is recapturing the pond and less than a year later there are clearly visible transformations. The school pond can now serve again as a valuable habitat for flora and fauna and an illustration example for visitors of the outdoor lab. The desilting was planned and carried out in cooperation with the consultants from Ingenieurbüro Obermeyer from Potsdam.
